The Fifth Act

       THE PLAY  by Alfred Tennyson

At first, this Earth, a stage so gloomed with woe

You almost sicken at the shifting of the scenes.

And yet be patient. Our Playwright may show

In some fifth act what this wild Drama means.

Welcome to The Fifth Act: a communal resource for actions that engender a better future.

How do we build the infrastructure to protect and utilize our fundamental rights? How do we stand up peacefully and with an abundance of purposeful fun?

Here’s what we have so far to bring an end to the American Nightmare:

There are over 900 billionaires in America.  How much money does a billionaire need? What more can a billionaire do?  Can’t we, the People, give billionaires a golden parachute?

Welcome to THE PEOPLE’S BANK funded by the American Founders Monument Park located around the Washington Monument in Washington D.C.

Here’s an illustration of the American Founders Monument Park picturing the Washington Monument surrounded by 6 monuments each a little bigger than the other, starting with a red one with the TRUMP name on it. The other five are in honor of other billionaires, Elon Musk in black, Mark Zuckerberg in Blue, Jeff Bezos in Amazon orange, Bernard Arnault in gold, Warren Buffet in green. Will Larry Ellison want one too?

The idea is simple: billionaires will give over to a central People’s Bank all of their accumulated wealth keeping no more than one billion dollars for themselves and their descendants.

In return, the American people will build a monument in their honor, complete with a visitor center for each that features a biographical film. Led by our current president, all billionaires will make their deposits simultaneously followed by a worldwide celebration exalting the newest American Founders.

THE PEOPLE’S BANK, stems from the poet Amiri Baraka’s poem “Why is We Americans“: “… We want to be paid, in a central bank the average worker farmer wage for all those years we gave it free. Plus we want damages, for all the killings and the fraud, the lynchings, the missing justice, the lies and frame-ups, the unwarranted jailings, the tar and feathering, the character and race assassinations, historical slander, ugly caricatures. For every Sambo, Stepin Fetchit flick, we want to be paid, for every hurtful thing you did or said. For all the land you took, for all the rapes, all the Rosewoods and Black Wall Streets you destroyed. All the miseducation, jobs lost, segregated shacks we lived in, the disease that ate and killed us, for all the mad police that drilled us. For all the music and dances you stole. The styles. The language. The hip clothes you copped. The careers you stopped. All these are suits, specific litigation, as represent we, be like We, for reparations for damages paid to the Afro-American nation. … We want education for all of us. …”

The Great American Throw Down No more superficial tug-o-war, let’s get into it! At the intersection of Main Street and Wall Street, it’s a rumble in the concrete jungle, where we hash out our countries woes, from the soap box, to the podium, to the board room. Americans make their case for how we are supposed to move forward together. After all the talk is through, contestants throw down on the dance floor and with pugil sticks!                         (Developed with Zac Hughes.)

Also, the Direct Confrontation Movement that will slow down our current regime is in need of Emergency Response Teams. One for dancers and another with bikes, creating impromptu direct  where we can swarm and divide in order to conquer the narrative of our peaceful resistance without arrest. Through music, dance, and bicycling we will execute protests that can arrive, make a scene, and continue the work of reaching the People as we groove onward. The bike bloc is currently named The Love Riders , the dancers are the Kaleidoscope Dancers, and the stickering crew, Stick Together. Here is what our only American King, Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King Jr., has said that can lead us today, “I am convinced that if we are to get on the right side of the world revolution, we as a nation must undergo a radical revolution of values. We must rapidly begin the shift from a thing-oriented society to a person-oriented society.

This is not radical, this is common sense.
